Dr.Ratish Karna

Dr. Ratish K. Karna is a distinguished healthcare professional and the founder and director of the Bahamas Institute of Hand and Rehabilitation (BIHAR). As the only certified hand therapist in the Bahamas and Caribbean, Dr. Karna has significantly contributed to hand therapy and rehabilitation within the region.

Dr. Karna’s journey in rehabilitation began with his educational foundation at the National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (NIRTAR) in India, where he completed his degree in occupational therapy. He then pursued higher education and research in the United States, earning a post-professional doctorate from the University of St. Augustine in Florida.

With a passion for improving the quality of rehabilitation services in the Bahamas, Dr. Karna founded BIHAR to establish a comprehensive hub for service, education, and research in rehabilitation. His dedication and expertise in hand therapy have been instrumental in enhancing the healthcare landscape of the Bahamas, benefiting countless patients and professionals alike.
